Tekla Structural Designer- How to Read Beam Schedule Properly Beam-Column Layout

 Tekla Structural Designer is advanced software used for Structural Analysis and Design of a Building. In Tekla, we can do the detailing of steel structures as well as RCC structures we can create RCC buildings and we can insert the rebars in Tekla structures Designer software.  We can also do the form works and structural drawing without the help of any other software.

Let’s follow the steps to know how to read beam schedule properly-- Beam Column Layout.              

Step 1

First of all we have to open our model which is fully analysed and designed in TSD, We will go to a particular level and will study the beam Schedule. For that let as choose a particular level and generate a Drawing of Beam schedule for that go to Draw tab then go to Beam Schedule then click on Ok after that it will automatically be generated as an Autocad file.

First of all we have to open our model which is fully analysed and designed in TSD, We will go to a particular level and will study the beam Schedule. For that let as choose a particular level and generate a Drawing of Beam schedule for that go to Draw tab then go to Beam Schedule then click on Ok after that it will automatically be generated as an Autocad file.

As we can see in Fig beam schedule has been opened in Autocad and we can find various markings details, to get the marking details we need to go to the General arrangement option in the Draw tab in TSD, click Ok to generate general arrangement drawing for a particular level.

In general, arrangement drawing here, we can find the beam no’s like CRB4-D1, to find the detail of CRB4-D1 go to beam schedule drawing and here we have details of beam CRB4-D1 like size, top bars, bottom bars, stirrups etc.
