Tekla Structural Designer Smart use of Frames to copy Beams or any Structural Element

 Tekla Structural Designer is advanced software used for Structural Analysis and Design of a Building. In Tekla, we can do the detailing of steel structures as well as RCC structures we can create RCC buildings and we can insert the rebars in Tekla structures Designer software.  We can also do the form works and structural drawing without the help of any other software.

Let’s follow the steps to use of Frames to copy Beams or any Structural Element.        

Step 1

First open our model then go to a base level that is the plinth level let’s insert a beam here for that go to the model tab and select the beam, after inserting the beam then go back to the Structure 3D view and observe that beam.

So if we want to copy that beam to the next level, what we will do. So we will use Frame command basically this will do when if we have a large structure. So we will use the Frame and we will go for the particular grid along which we can place the frame and click scape.

After that simply go to the structure window and frame option we have frame 6 which we have been created, so open frame 6 and we have a front view and if we make a 3D view to observe the frame properly. Then select the beam which we have been created then go edit tab and select the copy and take the first reference point and then others.

Now we can go to 3D structure view and see the changes

So like this, you can use Frames to copy Beams or any Structural Element.

STAAD Pro Vs Tekla Structural Designer .Which One Is Better ?
