Editing Modifiers for Structural Members & Releasing MOMENTS in Beam in Tekla Structural Designer

Tekla Structural Designer is an advanced software used for Structural Analysis and Design of a Building. In Tekla we can do detailing of steel structures as well as RCC structures. We can create RCC buildings and we can insert the rebars in Tekla structures Designer software.  We can also do the form works and structural drawing without the help of any other softwares. As we know TSD is a structure analysis and design software and Revit Structures is a detailing software.  So let’s go step by step and explore editing modifiers for structural members using TSD. 1. In TSD one can set the standard codes. Go to Home option and select the Settings Option, to set the desired Standard Codes. 2. In the Model option (in the same Home option) we can also set the desired Standard Codes. 3. For the modifiers the TSD takes the modifiers automatically. Go to the Analyse Option and select the Settings Option. In the Settings we can change the value of the desired modifiers which are already s

How to Apply Wind Load to Irregular Buildings in Tekla Structural Designer

Tekla Structural Designer is an advanced software used for Structural Analysis and Design of a Building. In Tekla we can do detailing of steel structures as well as RCC structures. We can create RCC buildings and we can insert the rebars in Tekla structures Designer software.  We can also do the form works and structural drawing without the help of any other softwares. As we know TSD is a structure analysis and design software and Revit Structures is a detailing software.  Many times the building is irregular there may be certain extrusions of lifts, staircase or due to many designs which produce outwards.   So let’s go step by step and explore how to apply wind loads in irregular buildings using TSD. 1. Go to the Base view. 2. Go to the Grid Lines and select the Parallel Lines. 3. Take an offset of 5m on each side of the base. It will create a 3D view similar as it happened for the following structure.  4. Go to the Top level of the structure in the Structure window and switch

How to add modifiers in Load as per ACI and IS Code in TSD

Tekla Structural Designer is an advanced software used for Structural Analysis and Design of a Building. In Tekla we can do detailing of steel structures as well as RCC structures. We can create RCC buildings and we can insert the rebars in Tekla structures Designer software.  We can also do the form works and structural drawing without the help of any other softwares . Let’s follow the steps to know how to add modifiers in load as per ACI and IS Code in TSD. Step 1 Fig.1 First of all we have our model on which load combinations have been created on it, then go to load click on load combination and now we can see the various load combinations which have been created. Now if we want to check this load combination then simply we can go to any one of the load combinations. Now we can see that we have 1.5(DL+LL) and also we can see a seismic load combination of 1.5(DL+SLY). Step 2 Like this we have the modifiers in particular load combinations we have generated. We can also change the load

How to check and understand the slab reinforcement drawings

Tekla Structural Designer is an advanced software used for Structural Analysis and Design of a Building. In Tekla we can do detailing of steel structures as well as RCC structures. We can create RCC buildings and we can insert the rebars in Tekla structures Designer software.  We can also do the form works and structural drawing without the help of any other softwares . Let’s go step by step, check and understand the slab reinforcement drawings. Step 1 Fig.1 As we see in Fig.1 there we can just right click on the slab and select the design member and we can also select the report for the member. After selecting the report for members we will be able to see it . Step 2 Switch on the draw option and then select the slab mat detailing and click ok. After that the drawing will be opened in an autocad file, take a slab from it to check the values from the report. So like this we can study the drawings.       .For more details, watch this:  Tekla Structural Designer: How to study the Slab

How to open and use the load Analysis view

Tekla Structural Designer is an advanced software used for Structural Analysis and Design of a Building. In Tekla we can do detailing of steel structures as well as RCC structures. We can create RCC buildings and we can insert the rebars in Tekla structures Designer software.  We can also do the form works and structural drawing without the help of any other softwares . Let’s go step by step to open and use the load Analysis view. Step 1 Fig.1 As we can see, the building is fully loaded and we can see the dead loads, imposed loads and also we have applied the wings loads, seismic loads and load combination. After that we can design our building, so the analysis and design of the building has been done. Step 2 Go to the Results view. After going to the results view we can just select any particular load combination and the result symbol should be on and also whatever values we want, we can just turn it on. Step 3 Now we can select the shear major then right click on any beam and then
