How to Split, join and delete members TSD

Tekla Structural Designer is advanced software used for Structural Analysis and Design of a Building. In Tekla, we can do the detailing of steel structures as well as RCC structures we can create RCC buildings and we can insert the rebars in Tekla structures Designer software.  We can also do the form works and structural drawing without the help of any other software. So let’s go step by step to know how to split, join & Delete elements.               Step 1 At first in the model, we can select any element all items are separate so we will go to the 2D View option and we can click on the join option and select two members and you will see the members are joined now and similarly for the split command we will simply select a split option and select the model member where you want to split and escape.  In the same way, you can delete also by clicking the option delete. Fig.1         .For more details, watch this:  Tekla Structural Designer: How to Split, Join and Delete Members Wh

How to bring Columns in the same line as Beam

T ekla Structural Designer is advanced software used for Structural Analysis and Design of a Building. In Tekla, we can do the detailing of steel structures as well as RCC structures we can create RCC buildings and we can insert the rebars in Tekla structures Designer software.  We can also do the form works and structural drawing without the help of any other software. So let’s proceed step by step to know about it.               Step 1 In the fig. 1 base view  you can see the beam size is 250 and the column size is 400  so it extends outside so to put it inside we can go to the model and use the measure option, we can calculate the extended part i.e 200 and the size of beams is 250/2 so the offset we need to give is 75mm along the horizontal line same for the vertical also we will go to the 3D view and select the column and we will go to the option alignment next we will set the minor and major offset as 75mm so this will adjust the horizontal line as well as vertical line once it is

Tekla Structural Designer- How to Check Punching Shear of Columns Punching Shear Design

Let’s follow the steps to Check the Punching Shear of Columns.                Step 1 First of all, we will open our building model which had a flat slab and all the loading have been applied and designed. Fig.1 Step 2 Now we will apply punching shear checks in this structure for that we will go to our first slab level after that we can go to the design tab and then click to the punching shear option. Fig.2 Step 3 So for applying the punching shear, we can either select a particular column or we can even select two columns at once by dragging after doing that we can analyze the model once again and then go to design and cl

Tekla Structural Designer- How to Apply Bracings Design of Bracings

Tekla Structural Designer is advanced software used for Structural Analysis and Design of a Building. In Tekla, we can do the detailing of steel structures as well as RCC structures we can create RCC buildings and we can insert the rebars in Tekla structures Designer software.  We can also do the form works and structural drawing without the help of any other software. As we know Bracings are set of crise cross cylinder members which are used to established or supports other members. Let’s follow the steps to know how to apply Bracings in TSD.                Step 1 First of all we will go to Structure base view then we will model some columns for that go to model tab then go to the steel section and select column option and create in the required place and will also put the beam. Fig.1 Step 2 Go to the Structure 3D view and check the column and beam. Now we will go to the Structure 1 view and then we can provide some more beam, as we can see here beams at two level had been provided.

Tekla Structural Designer Inserting Nodes Modelling a building using the same process of STAAD

Tekla Structural Designer is advanced software used for Structural Analysis and Design of a Building. In Tekla we can do the detailing of steel structures as well as RCC structures we can create RCC buildings and we can insert the rebars in Tekla structures Designer software.  We can also do the form works and structural drawing without help of any other softwares .   Let’s go step by step to simplify beams and columns location in TSD.                  Step 1 Before inserting your nodes make sure you have defined your construction level you can go to your model and define the construction level, we have defined our Foundation level, plinth level, ground floor slab level, first-floor slab level and then click on Ok. Fig.1 Step 2 Now we will observe the X and Y-axis direction then we will go to a particular level where we want to create the nodes then we will go to the edit option and now let’s insert the coordinates by clicking on the free points then we will add the first point then

How to simplify beams and columns location in TSD

For this we will go to the drawing option and then go to the drawing management. After going to the drawing management, we will select general management and after that we will add some content then click on content and then we will select the structure and drag it to the other side and then click on ok and after that just click on view drawings and it will be opened in the autocad file. So this is the process to simplify beams
