Tekla Structural Designer: G+1 Building Detailing: Converting File from Tekla Structural Designer to Tekla Structures

Tekla Structural Designer is advanced software used for Structural Analysis and Design of a Building. In Tekla, we can do the detailing of steel structures as well as RCC structures. We can create RCC buildings and we can insert the rebars in Tekla structures Designer software.  We can also do the form works and structural drawing without the help of any other software.

Let’s see below how to import files in TSD.

Step 1

So as you can see in Fig. 1 that we have designed a G+1 building of 650 sqft. Now I want to import this model to Tekla Structures and then we will complete its detailing. So firstly you will have to go to Tekla Structures export which comes under the Home tab so when you will open the option it will ask you to synchronize the Tekla Structural Designer model with Tekla Structures so just click on the next option and then it will ask to relocate export model so we will set it as default and press next it will ask you that which things you want to keep in Tekla Structures model so click on the option that you want and press next we will see the concrete grade and press next it will ask for a file location so give it a location and save it.

After that it will open in the Tekla structures interface and import the model that we have saved so for that go to the menu and then import from where you have saved and then click on import at origin so in fig . 3 you can see we have imported the model.

So like this, you can convert files from Tekla Structural Designer to Tekla Structures.

STAAD Pro Vs Tekla Structural Designer .Which One Is Better ?
