Tekla Structural Designer How to apply Earthquake load in TSD


Tekla Structural Designer is advanced software used for Structural Analysis and Design of a Building. In Tekla, we can do the detailing of steel structures as well as RCC structures. We can create RCC buildings and we can insert the rebars in Tekla structures Designer software.  We can also do the form works and structural drawing without the help of any other software.

So let’s go step by step to know how to apply earthquake load in Tekla.

Step 1

So as you can see we have already applied the dead load as well as the live load so now we will apply the seismic load so for that we will go to the load's option and after that, we will choose the seismic load and then we will select the code spectra next we will select the ignore seismic in floors and we will select structure base rest data will be taken automatically by Tekla and then as per is code 1893 the important factor will be 1 and next we will choose model response spectrum and select next and simply select the RCC MRF Building option and then we will select moment frame systems after that we will click on next after that it will create some load combination as per the seismic load just select the operating next simply choose the operating factor and click on next.

 

So like this, you can apply Earthquake load in TSD.
