How to add Masonry Walls in TSD (Tekla Structural Designer) ?

Following are the steps to add Masonry Walls in TSD :

Step 1

First of all we will have to create a frame, so for creating frames we will have to go to the Model option and then to the frame option as shown in fig 1.

So we will go to the Structure window and then frames and then we will open the view of this particular frame as shown in fig 2.

Step 3

So once the view has opened now we want to insert a frame here so for that we will have to take some parallel constructional lines and place the value of the depth of the beam and after placing a simple click enter.

Step 4

Next we will simply go to the option of the model and then the general wall and will just create the general wall as shown in fig 4 .

Step 5

After creating the wall we will simply select and can change the properties. Now you can change the wall type like the bearing wall and we can also change the grid to the masonry wall sample.

Then for load you will simply have to go to load and can change the load and then simply go to Design and Design all static as shown in fig 5.

So by right clicking on it and checking the design of the member and you will see the effects of the masonry walls .
