How to Generate Floorwise Concrete and Rebar/Reinforcement Quantity?

Tekla structural designer (TSD) is a simple, integrated design & analysis software that gives engineers the power to analyze and design buildings efficiently and profitably, fully automated and packed with many unique features for optimized concrete and steel design. We can know the quantity of concrete and rebar (material listing) (floor wise) by using the software called Tekla structural designer. And let us also know how to create filters for other types of material reports.

Step 1

Here we are using 3 storeys buildings as an example (second floor), go to the Report (on the menu bar) and select a material listing, you can see the report of materials being used for all floors (Quantity of concrete and steel at last page).

But we need floor wise materials quantity, so for that follow the below steps:

To create filters go to the levels on the toolbar and just add the required floor & name of the filter (of your choice), don’t forget to click OK to complete the process.

After creating a filter then go to the model report on the tool bar to apply the filter, so now under material listing just right click and get the model filter option then also select the name of the created filter.

Click on OK, so you will be redirected to the report of structure and on the last page of the report, you can see the quantity of concrete & rebar used for the second floor.

So yes, this is the simple 4 step process to create and apply the filters to know the floor wise materials quantity, we can find the quantity of materials for different building elements like beams, columns etc., in the same manner.
