Tekla Structural Designer: Calculate Floor Wise Quantity of Concrete and Rebar/ Reinforcement

In construction projects, concrete and Reinforcement plays a very important role and knowing the quantity of concrete and reinforcement also play a major role because it helps to compute the overall cost of the project.

In Tekla Structural Designer, we have so many interesting features like in a single click you are able to generate material listing that is quantity of concrete and quantity of Reinforcement.

Suppose you have a three storied building and you want to find materials used in only the second floor.

It is so simple in Tekla Structural Designer software by following some easy steps below.

Part A: Finding out the Concrete and Reinforcement of the entire model

Step1: Open your Building Model in Tekla Structural Designer and click on "Report"

Step 2: Then select “Material listing” then click on “Show Report.” Then you can see the total quantity of concrete used in a building and total quantity of reinforcement with 10% allowance.

Part B: Finding out the Concrete and Reinforcement of the entire model

Step 1: In the Reports tab, select the level option in the group of filters.

Step 2: Click on Add in the menu popped up after clicking on Levels

Step 3: Select the Level for which you want to Create the report.

Step 5: Click on Model Report, Select Material Listing, after that Right Click on Mouse and Select the name of the filter you have applied, in this case it is “Selected Levels” as shown in the image below, and Click on OK

The material listing report for that particular level/floor will then open.
