How to change the rebars in the beam in Tekla Structural Designer

 

Tekla Structural Designer is an advanced software used for Structural Analysis and Design of a Building.In Tekla we can do detailing of steel structures as well as RCC structures we can create RCC buildings and we can insert the rebars in Tekla structures Designer software.  We can also do the form works and structural drawing without the help of any other softwares .

In TSD we can do the interactive design of different members like we can change the sizes of reinforcement or change the numbers of reinforcement, how to control the sizes of members but in this we will do the Interactive Design of Beam.

 

Let’s follow the steps to know how to do interactive design in TSD:

Step 1

First of all we will open our building model and then select any member from our model then we will go to a particular construction level let’s take st.3(3) and select any beam, then we can right click on it and then we will go to our Interactive design static. Now you can see the details of the member as shown in fig.1, information like we have four spans of the beam, Section, Longitudinal Bars ,Links etc .

Step 2

Now we will go to the first span. We have the reinforcement of T16 and T12 in the top portion.so let’s see what the result will be if we change the size or number of bars. After changing you will find that its ratio changes which it indicates further be design will pass or fail .Also we can change the spacing of the links.

Step 3

Let’s check the second span. we have 2 bars and T12 at left and 4 bars and T16 at right at top of the portion, now if we change the nos of bar of right side to 2 nos and also if change the size of bar to T12 then we can see that it's sufficient for the member that member has passed.

So like this you can do the interactive design and check our structural design and using this we can make it safe.

How to Provide Reinforcement in multiple columns in Tekla Structures

STAAD Pro Vs Tekla Structural Designer .Which One Is Better ?

  Tekla Structural Designer (TSD) is a simple, integrated design & analysis software that enables engineers to deliver safe, effective and rationalized design more quickly, regardless of structural material. Reinforcement drawings for the entire building or tonnes of steel for estimating and many more.    So in the above image you can see the first image is created in Tekla Structural Designer (TSD) and in the second image the model has been created in Staad Pro  . we can start the comparison with the grid lines. So for creating grid lines in staad we need to enter the coordinates from the beam column plan as shown in fig.1 and we need to insert it while viewing the beam column plan.
